We offer a full range of contraceptive services. Including the long acting contraceptives recommended by NICE and the latest Novaring and oral contraceptives.
Jan Minshull our lead family planning nurse and Dr Johnson are both fully trained in the fitting of IUDs and IUSs (once known as coils) and Implants. Should you be interested in one of these methods book an appointment with Jan for advice and counseling. Before we fit a IUD or IUS we need to take swabs and make sure your smear is up to date.
We are also able to provide advice for patients considering a termination, if you want to speak to someone we recommend you book an appointment with one of our nurses trained in family planning unless there is a doctor or nurse practitioner you prefer to speak to.
On Monday mornings the Middlewich School nurse visits the surgery between 8.15 and 8.45 in school terms. She is there to provide young people with advice on sexual health issues and provide condoms.
